Somethin' creepy: Eugenics in the early 1900s




Many American don't realize that back in the early 20th century, the Supreme court passed the American Eugenics Movement in order to eliminate any "undesirable" traits from future populations. What did this mean? It meant that over 20,000 people that were found to be " feeble-minded" or "criminals" were sterilized so they were no longer able to procreate. At this time is was considered rational to determine a criminal by the shape of their head (see illustration below). I would strongly recommend checking out this image archive:
