Cups.... or Bears?



Above is a picture of the constellation Ursa Major. Translation: Big Bear. To most Americans, this is known as the "Big Dipper". Below is a picture of the Big Bear's counterpart , Ursa Minor or Little Bear. He's supposed to be upside-down. This is known as the Little Dipper. For some reason these guys usually have tails.



When seen together, Ursa Major and Ursa Minor forever chasing each others in the sky. There are many myths about the bears. One of my favorites is that they are fleeing from another constellation known as Draco; an unfortunate dragon.
